A Hero’s Journey Inc. (AHJ) was founded on a single belief: healing, growth, and transformation are possible for every individual, no matter where they begin. Our mission is to walk beside children, teens, adults, and families as they navigate emotional challenges, restore balance, and discover the strength within themselves to move forward.
Life presents obstacles — trauma, stress, behavioral struggles, family tension, academic pressure, emotional overwhelm. But with the right guidance, tools, and support, every path can be transformed. AHJ exists to help individuals find clarity, emotional stability, and a renewed sense of purpose.
ABOUT DR. DANIELS

Meet Dr. Byron L. Daniels​
​
Dr. Byron L. Daniels is a behavioral and emotional wellness specialist whose calling is to help individuals and families heal, grow, and rise above adversity.
He holds a Ph.D. in Human Services and a Post-Baccalaureate degree in Professional Counseling, providing a strong academic foundation in human development, emotional regulation, and therapeutic practice.
From 2011 to 2022, Dr. Daniels served as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS), offering behavioral care, addiction recovery support, and therapeutic intervention for adolescents and adults. His expertise extends internationally as a Prevention Consultant, providing youth development training and program development across diverse communities.
Today, he is registered as a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CDAC) and is also a Certified Emotion Code Practitioner, integrating gentle mind–body healing techniques to release emotional blocks, reduce internal stress, and restore balance.
His work spans adolescent development, trauma-informed care, emotional coaching, family empowerment, and values-based youth programming. Dr. Daniels’ diverse training allows him to meet individuals exactly where they are in their journey.
